Ronán Long MRICS MSCSI RV BComm National University of Ireland, Galway, B.Sc. (Estate Management), University of Reading, UK.

Ronan established the business in 2003 and has developed the business into a centre of knowledge, expertise and professionalism for buyers, sellers, owners, property developers, financial institutions, the legal and accounting professions. Ronan is sought after and retained by banks, professional bodies and property developers for expert opinions. Prior to starting the business, Ronan served as a Captain in the Irish Defence Forces. His military background brings exemplary values of integrity, relationship building and diligence to Long & Company. He is an active participant in local business groups having served as Board Director with Action Tuam CLG and President of Tuam Chamber of Commerce. Ronan’s knowledge of the local and regional property market makes him a trusted advisor, a shrewd estate agent and leading Chartered Surveyor.

Thomas Glavey B.Sc. MRICS MSCSI RV

Thomas graduated in 1998 from Limerick Institute of Technology receiving a Bachelor of Science Degree in Property Valuation and Management. He is a Member of the Society of Chartered Surveyors of Ireland (SCSI) since 1998, formerly the Irish Auctioneers and Valuers Institute (IAVI), and also holds dual Membership of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). Thomas is a RICS Registered Valuer (RV) and carries out Red Book Valuations for both private purposes and many of Ireland’s Lending Institutes, whom he is appointed to as a Panel Valuer. Holding a PSRA Licence (A-D) he can provide professional advice and act on your behalf as a selling agent for all property types.

Thomas spent many of his formative professional years working with one of London’s leading Independent Estate Agents and specialised in the capitals’ fast paced residential property market with particular emphasis on lettings and property management. Consistently promoted, Thomas held senior roles with responsibility for heading up integral departments within the company’s residential division. Providing regular financial reports, KPIs and other analytical information to Group Directors, and the CFO, was a key element of these roles together with the management of staff, integration of CRM systems and Client liaison.

In 2011 Thomas successfully qualified as a RICS Chartered Surveyor and in 2014 had the opportunity to take up a position within the Chartered Surveyor Division of the same company. Practicing as a Residential Chartered Surveyor and Registered Valuer he has valued thousands of properties from one-bedroom Leasehold apartments to large Freehold houses in some of the most affluent areas of London.

Never forgetting his upbringing on the family farm and the grá for the land, Thomas and his young family returned to Galway in 2019. Combining a balance between managing the family farm and practicing as a Chartered Surveyor, Registered Valuer and Estate Agent have complimented each other over the last number of years, particularly within agricultural sales and leasing, which together with other areas of the business Long & Co are continuing to expand and build a strong professional reputation for in the West of Ireland.

Thomas believes his experience of working within one of the world’s leading residential property markets has proven to be invaluable and provided a unique opportunity to put into practice the professional approach and ethos that all Clients should expect to receive in the Irish marketplace from a Registered Estate Agent.

MARTINA CULLEN, Advanced Certificate in Auctioneering and Property Services, PSR (fully-licensed)

Martina is our lettings agent lead and brings over 15 years’ experience working in the property sector in the West of Ireland. She joined us in 2020 and manages our growing lettings business. This specialist role at Long & Co meets the exacting needs of both Landlords and Tenants, some of whom are overseas residents. Martina has an empathetic approach to all her clients and works in Tenant Sourcing, Rent Control & Review, Mediation and all aspects of Property Management. She has experience of dealing with The Residential Tenancies Board (RTB) and is always up to date on legislative changes for both Landlords and Tenants. Martina also undertakes Property Sales for the Practice

Aisling Steede, Office Administrator

Aisling is the newest member of the Long & Co team. She loves a new challenge as she has previously qualified as an Operations Engineer through a scholarship program and also as a Sports Therapist. She spends her weekends on the sidelines working for several GAA teams, mixing her love of sport with work. She has just recently returned from Australia after 2 years, where she gained invaluable experience working as a Customer Care Consultant for a nationwide property management company. Her experience in Customer Care and knowledge of the local area will help with any queries clients may have when contacting the office.
